ImpossibleBots

Like I said in Hosting Bot 2 our bots are online and working, but what's a bot good for if people don't know how to use it. That is why I'm putting this piece together to help those who still don't understand how to use the hosting bot yet get to know the ins and outs of the bot.

Admin Bot

There are two admin bots in each of the channel that have the ghost bots' root admin. I have setup a command to enable Chieftains, Shamans, and Grunts of each clan to add admins to ghost bots' if necessary. Admins bots' usernames in each clan are as follow:

Clan Imp: Imp.Bot
Clan LOTI: Xelus0524

To add someone to the admins just type the command below:

!addadmin [username]

NOTE: New grunts please ask me to be added to the admin bots' data base.

Ghost Bots

Now, listen carefully because I've seen many people make this mistake. The following usernames are the ghost bots and ONLY ghost bots can actually host a game, the admin bots only administrate the channel and ghost bots; So don't waste your time trying to get admin bots to host. Now the username of the ghost bots in each clan is listed below:

Clan imp: Imp.Spirit
Clan IBCe: Imp.Spirit
Clan LOTI: Loti.Spirit

I hope by now you fully understand the difference between ghost bots and admin bots, if you don't then there is nothing I can do. The next section is about the useful commands that can help you host and moderate ghost bots.

Commands in battle.net (via local chat or whisper at any time):

.getgame display information on a game in progress
.gg display infromation on a game in progress
.getgames display information on all games
.ggs display information on all games
.gn [number] display the name of players in the game specified
.pub [name] host public game, .pub with no name will set lastname+1
.pubby [owner] [name] host public by another player (gives access to admin commands in the game in lobby and in the game)
.priv [name] host private game
.stats [name] display basic player statistic, optionally add [name] to display statistics of another player (can be used by non admins)

Commands in game lobby:

.a or .abort abort countdown
.autostart auto start the game when the specified number of players have joined, leave blank or "off" to disable auto start
.close [number] ... close slot
.f or .from [name] display the country each player is from, of a player (partial match)
.hold [name] hold a slot for someone
.latency [number] set game latency (50-500), leave blank to see current latency
.dr alias to .latency
.open [number] open slot
.pub [name] rehost as public game, a simple .pub will auto set a new name!
.start [force] start game, optinally add [force] to skip checks
.swap swap slots
.unhost unhost game

Commands in game:

.check [name] check a user's status (leave blank to check your own status)
.latency [number] set game latency (50-500), leave blank to see current latency
.dr alias to .latency
.end end the game (disconnect everyone)
.kick [name] kick a player (it tries to do partial match)
.pause pause the game
.unpause unpause the game
.ban [username] add a new ban to the data base of this realm

Now at last we get to the best part. Thanks to Zephyrix we have a web interface that allows you to upload your favorite maps to the bot. Ask me or Zephyrix for the password.

A new contributor approaches...

Hey guys, Eloquious here - your friendly god of priesthood. Making this post just to announce that I have officially joined the IB Blogger team, WMC123 and Dem0n_Hunter. Hopefully my giraffe will be able to match DH's header images, and the lot of you won't be too disappointed in me. I'll be posting updates, at least from the LOTI side of things, and probably some game-play related stuff. I see DH and WMC123 has already posted quite a bit so I have some catching up to do!

Pandomonium

To be honest I was kind of excited when I wanted to write this post because we almost beat normal mode with 8 and then last night I just went to check the forums I saw a new thread in the Victory forums with the title of "V3M 7player Normal..." when I read that first 3 words all of my excitement just flew away from me. I thought to myself, just when we came on step closer to asians they jumped 3 steps a head of us. But I hope everyone else look at this as an encouragement to beat Normal sooner. Last night we were really close to beating Normal and brought Pandomonium down to 21% on our first daily game. I can't say it was a perfect game, actually it was not a great game to start with. We had a few bad ranks at the start but still managed to make it to Pandomonium which is a very good improvement. I won't go into the details too much since I've posted the replay below. I'll just give you the names of the players and our ranks till Pandomonium. Hopefully we'll beat it next time.

PLAYERS:

Kavaru (Ice Mage)
Cold-Hands (Ice Mage)
Eloquious (Priest)
yat (Ranger)
BeamerZ (Ranger)
THV (Fire Mage)
Dem0n_HuNTer (Warrior)
Alecto_Perfecto (Warlock)

RANKS:

Fire ------------ B
Ice ------------- S
Brute ---------- C
Thunder------- F
Druid ---------- D
Light ----------- F

Random Thing of the Day #2 (RTD #2)

So its back to another dosage of RTD with me :D
Lets do a boss ability shall we? :P
Beltharzar the lord of flame
Offensive ability

FLAMEBURST

Also known at the "melee killer", the fire boss erupts with a ring of fire originating from him. If you are a melee character or near the boss for any reason, the best way is to use your invulnerable spells (aka d) or risk dying (or nearly dying). It is also possible to walk away from the boss to take lesser damage. Here are some examples:

D-ing to avoid damage from flameburst

The next 2 pictures show how you can die to flameburst

This is the amount of damage you take if you're lucky

Chatango time!

Sometimes it's good to know something about everything. So here it is, our new chat box. It's live chat with everyone and registration is for free and easy. You can edit your font and text color and has a lot more options. Chatango is a very popular chat box between most anime sites or any other kind of website and I always wished to have some kind of chat system for us in Impossible Bosses Forums like this for a long time and this is the opportunity to full fill that wish. I hope everyone else can enjoy it as much as I do.
My chatango username is Illidanevil you can add me as your friend if you want. I'll be always on the chat so drop by and say hello, if I didn't answer I'm probably not at my desk.
WMC123 and Eloquious will also be in the chat with the same names so call them up if you need something or just want to chat.

Hosting Bot 2

Bots are here RUN RUN!!!

Alright guys, seems I was completely wrong about the ETA for the bots. Luckily I was able to have the hosting bots up and running within 10 hours of purchasing them, and they are currently residing in Clan LOTI and Clan imp channel.

Clan imp username: Imp.Spirit
Clan LOTI username: Loti.Spirit

No Europe because I was too lazy at 2:00 am to make an account in Europe for the bot. I'll add the other servers later. Anyways, I've tested the bot with WMC123 and seems I have no delay on it but WMC123 claims that zwb was better than the new bot so eh!! I hope we can test the bot with everyone else to see how is the bot for everyone.

I'm also going setup administrator bots in each channel and give them root admin of the hosting bot to make adding admins easier for everyone. More info with a list of commands and useful tips will be posted later on.

Hosting Bot

I think majority of people by now have noticed that Zephrix's bot (zwb) has been missing for a few days. After talking to him we realized that the server he was using to host "zwb" is facing problems and there is no guarantee that he would be able to fix it. As a result I've decided to go a head and rent a bot from Cryptwizard for a fairly low price. They have told me that it would take about 1-2 days for the bot to be ready for usage. Anyhow, we're hoping that the hosting bot be up and running by this weekend. More info will be posted as soon as the bots are up and running.
